Well, maybe the first Dumble I ever played through got me just as good and as deep - and that's pretty classy company, IMHO. I don't think I've ever been more "blown away" by an amp than I was the first time I played through a Continental. The first Tone King I ever heard or played through was a Continenta at Rudy'sl. Hey Jon - WOW, a Continental! That's so cool, takes me right back to Rudy's in NYC in '96.

The Metro sounds more refined than a DR, and so does the Imperial, for that matter.Īnyhow, both are very Blackface sounding amps in the clean channel - different, but similar in my opinion.
